Welcome to the Zoo Foundation Santacruz

Zoos are an ideal place to educate and recreate on respect, care and conservation of animal species, so that our future generations, enriched by personal discoveries meet in attitude to appreciate and preserve life.

The Department of Education Santacruz Zoo Foundation has trained in education with over 4 years of experience, which intends to be part of school curricula and university institutions wishing to visit us staff.

We have a total length of 32,000 meters, where you will find:

Animal habitats with a total of 395 individuals, divided into 85% of native species (Colombian) and 15% of exotic species (other countries).
OBJECTIVES

Strengthen and enrich our culture through knowledge of our natural resources (Fauna and Flora).
Linking the environment with the individual and be partakers of conservation strategies that will improve our quality of life.
Encourage in children, adolescents and adults develop the senses and stimulate creativity, imagination, and curiosity values ​​through direct contact with the animal life and ecosystems.
Learn about the importance, the degree of threat to the species found in our zoo.

The zoo intended for their activities from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Sunday (including holidays).

Reservations

The entity or person concerned should contact the zoo Santacruz Foundation for the respective reservation program for which you are interested at least 8 days in advance.

If there is the need to make any changes in the schedule of any of the activities will be made along with the staff of the Department of Education and the entity concerned. Dates to realizarsen activities shall be fixed in mutual agreement.
